Patt Watts

Pat’s family moved to Rye on the Mornington Peninsula in 1956. She began drawing at an early age and particularly loved drawing horses.  When her children started school in 1976 she began porcelain painting, and this continued for ten years.  In 1998 she began painting in earnest with John Bredl who taught her for three years and whose ability as a teacher gave Pat an invaluable knowledge and confidence to develop her own style.

Recognized as a painter of portraits, still life, landscapes and horses, Pat has been part of numerous combined exhibitions at Camberwell Rotart, Sorrento, Mt.Martha, Flinders, Dromana, Rosebud, Pakenham, Seaford and Frankston High School.

Pat had her first solo exhibition in January 2004. She has also won numerous awards for her art.

Along with Margot O’Neill and Robin Phillips, Pat started The Peninsula Palettes Art Group which now has nine members. They have had seven art shows at Dromana’s Pier Street Gallery.

Pat recently started a new art group “Studio Sorrento” who meet every Wednesday, and has 20 members. “StudioSorrento” has had three Art Shows.
