Studio Sorrento is a group of artists living on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. We are a not-for-profit organization, but we hold two exhibitions a year from which the door takings go to local charities or to the club that auspices us. Membership of the group ranges from casual amateurs to professionals in varying degrees and all of us live in the Southern Peninsula area.

The group meets every Wednesday at 823 Melbourne Road, Sorrento (Cnr. Queens Rd.), from 10.00 a.m.  The public is welcome to visit us there between 10.00 and 2.00 on that day, but it is advisable to call 0418 100 373 to confirm. Our thanks go to Keith Stead who is responsible for the majority of images which appear on this site.

The group was founded by local artist Pat Watt,  who began painting in the hall with several others in 2007. Gradually the numbers built up and there are now about 40 members.  A weekly Portrait group is up and running on Friday’s between 10am and 2pm. The cost is $5.00 per session, Please contact Rodger Stebbing on 5981 1554

We are fortunate to have access to a Hall, which has been managed by Portsea/Sorrento Seniors’ Club for some years. The age requisite to join the club is now open ended, and the whole community can now access this marvelous facility. Sorrento Seniors have now changed their name to SAC Sorrento Activity Centre.
